Th350 Hard Shift Into Reverse. Could it be the modular. I am having 2nd to 3rd gear shifting issues. One of the first things i noticed is shifting from park to reverse it shifts. I got a turbo 350 in my s10 pickup with a 2 stage shift kit. I havent had a chance to drive it, but when i shift the th350 from park to drive and or reverse it bangs into gear. I'm 92% sure it's the shift kit. My ride is a 1984 el camino, th350 trans, 350 crate engine, advertised as 340 hp. Can adjusting the modular solve the problem? Just swapped from a 4l60e to a th350 this passed week. 1971 th350 shifts hard 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. I replaced the vacuum modulator with an advance auto parts red stripe part and replaced. Not noise, but the car. Installed approximately 10,000 miles ago both. When i put it into reverse it usually clunks a little bit, not to the point where. It shifts hard in all forward gears, but slams into reverse off idle, and has a weak reverse (chatter).
